Our details
Training, experience and work history
After leaving school I went to Bolton Technical college for 3 years, learning all the different aspects of plastering, the traditional way.
After completing the city and guilds course I then went on to work as an apprentice for three plasterers where I learnt more tips and techniques of the craft, and generally completing my education.
Then at 21, I decided I was ready to work for myself.
Over the following 16 years, I have worked on various different jobs and projects, including;
-
Brand new housing estates for the big construction firms.
-
Smaller projects like extensions, conservatories, loft conversions etc for local builders.
-
And in literally hundreds of peoples homes doing jobs such as:
-
Re skimming old or Artexed walls/ceilings ready for painting.
-
Replacing ceilings after leaks or the 'foot through the ceiling' trick.
-
Patching up after removal of dado/picture rails or removing chimney breasts etc, and just general care, repair and update to peoples homes.
I think I have seen and done it all, but you never know.
